Throwback to when I was obsessing over stippling, to an extent that everything I made was just a stippling artwork. This piece was developed in mid-2016, when I was travelling across Jhansi-Ahmedabad-Delhi, as a promotional poster for an upcoming animated movie Wade and its crowdfunding campaign. A production as dear to me, as my friends who are working on it. Movie coming up super soon. So excited! This term was kickstarted one of the most dreamy classes I’ve been to, in life. The module one of Critical Frameworks asked us to speculate ethnofutures, while we explored the world of Black Panther, Afro Futurism, Sinofuturism, and plenty of interesting things. While working on my projection of a time-sense that takes inspiration from the Vedic Age and tech singularity, I redefined the watch to change the concept of time in this scenario. Looks great, doesn’t it? More updates soon! Nidhi SinghOctober 15, 2017time-sense, criticalframeworks, ohmdp, ethnofutures, hinduism, lifeandtime, existential, background, dayandnight Comment
Juth, stands for group in Gujarati, is an initiative by a dear friend who has been working for a year with women in Dang to educate and normalise talks around menstrual health. Nidhi SinghOctober 15, 2017dang, indianinnovation, socialdesign, juth, gujaratComment
36 days of type is one thing and then comes Devanagari type. The later picked up this year, and a couple of us started working on our type explorations. Where I mostly created cube structures for my Devanagari script, this one exploration was one of my favourites.
