Designing for Equity

It’s more important than ever to come together across borders in the pursuit of gender equity.

I worked with the CHANGE (City Hub and Network for Gender Equity) global coalition to design an emblem representing their values and aspirations. CHANGE is a first-of-its-kind, international coalition of cities focused on achieving true gender equity. Through the leadership of the six co-founding cities - Barcelona, Freetown, London, Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Tokyo - CHANGE can harness each member's ongoing commitment to equality and build on the work of justice for their 35 million residents.

Local governments can advance gender equity in everything from public safety to education opportunities to equal pay and employment. The past success of international city networks makes clear the value of these kinds of partnerships in driving positive change at both the domestic and global levels.
